Hate your job? You are not alone. According to a survey conducted by market information company TNS, half of your co-workers dislike their work, a quarter are showing up only to collect a paycheck, and two-thirds of workers believe they are underpaid.
But then there’s the odd category of workers who hate their job but love their super-sized paycheck. Although "the worst" jobs depend on whom you ask, these jobs are usually high-risk, high-pressure, low-glamour, and physically or psychologically demanding.
BusinessWeek has compiled a list of 12 of the most unpleasant, dangerous and demanding jobs in the world that also pay really well.
Take for example the podiatrist who earns an average of $125,000. High salaries and flexible hours make podiatry seem like an attractive career choice, at least for those who don’t mind dealing with smelly feet, ingrown toenails, bunions and pus-filled foot ulcers.
