Some fashions, like blue jeans, stand the test of time. Other fashions, like bell-bottom pants, leave only to come around again. And then there are these crazy fashions culled from the Chicago Tribune archives. Some clothes are just better left unworn.
In this photo, Model Ann Coffman sported the "newest foul weather gear—an enveloping cape with attached visored hood in olive drab poplin lined in a leopard print," the original Tribune caption said. "Her plaid stockings are pretty sensational too."
